            Walk in the Refuge
Who:
This is a multi part series to help girls that have not camped to earn outdoor & camping Try Its / Badges.  The girls will earn a patch.  They will only earn this patch if they attend ALL SCHEDULED EVENTS. This first event will start early in the AM (that's when the animals are out) at Arthur R. Marshall Wildlife Refuge.  We will have a ranger led walk with Serena Rinker that will teach us about the flora and fauna (plants & animals) found there.

*NOTE:    Progressive Outdoor / Camping Experience:
This event is dependent on the leaders and troops that are interested in participating.  The first 2 events are tried and true (have been done multiple times).  The third and/or fourth events are dependant on what the troops want to do (cost & time allowances) and events scheduled through our service area.

The outdoor experience is a progression.

Investiture & Rededication Ceremony
              (date may change due to
roundups and new leaders/troops)
This event is scheduled at Veteran's Park in the evening 7-9 PM.  The idea for this event is that ALL of us, Service Team, Leaders, Troops, Family and Friends come together in the park to do an INVESTITURE AND REDEDICATION CEREMONY.  We will highlight new leaders and new scouts.  The ceremony will also rededicate established leaders and scouts.  All participants are asked to bring a covered dish and we will eat dinner together in celebration of our new year in Girl Scouts!
